How it All Happened

It didn't take long before we were inseparable. A night of pub trivia at the Napper Tandy led to an embarrassingly pathetic loss, led to Jackson finding out that Carol sings along to EVERYTHING while knowing the words to NOTHING, led to Carol finding out that Jackson's music major didn't mean he was any better, and led to us cooking risotto just a few days later at Jackson's, which made up for the thrashing at trivia.

Carol and Jackson sitting on a futon

When Jackson moved in with Carol, it was time for the futon to meet some folks on Craigslist.

Carol was a fourth-year medical student (the easy year), and Jackson was only a few months from having moved to San Francisco, which was perfect. We explored SF on foot, discovering new neighborhoods and new calf muscles. We took great trips together, long and short, stalking the Obama's vacation route through Maine and watching whales breech incessantly in Santa Cruz. Best of all, we had great conversations, from the serious to the goofy.

By the time Carol headed off to study medical Spanish in Ecuador last March, we knew we had a good thing going. Jackson took the month on his own to do some scheming, designing an engagement ring, having it made, and wrangling many of Carol's friends for a surprise engagement party. Shortly after Carol returned, thoroughly bug-bitten from her time in the cloud forests, it was time to make the move. Jackson proposed to Carol on Tank Hill, overlooking their neighborhood, and she said yes! Jackson tweeted, Carol made phone calls, and they met their friends high above Nob Hill to kick back and celebrate.

As we come closer to our wedding day, we're excited about what the future might hold – building a family, growing our careers, seeing new corners of the world, and supporting each other every step of the way. And what better way to start this next chapter than with great food, amazing music, beautiful scenery, and our favorite people in the world.

The Outdoor Art Club

This women's social club, along with its historic Bernard Maybeck house, has been dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of the Mill Valley and Marin region for more than a century.

The Where To Stay

We’ve reserved blocks of rooms at hotels in two locations: Near Union Square in downtown San Francisco, and in Mill Valley, closer to the wedding itself. They’re all clean and nice, and in most cases, we’ve negotiated a special rate.

Some of these rates expire by mid-May, so please book soon if you want to get the rate. If there’s no code listed, simply call and ask for the Wilkinson/Peebles Wedding.

We plan on staying in San Francisco ourselves, and will most likely provide a shuttle bus from the hotels to and from the wedding.

If you need any help deciding, don’t hesitatate to contact us!
